This type of steel can meet the processing requirements under general working conditions. The grades of ordinary high-carbon chromium bearing steel are GCr15 and GCr15SiMn. Because GCr15SiMn has high crack sensitivity and low impact resistance, it cannot fully meet the requirements of thick-walled bearings and mining bearings. Therefore, the railway department does not allow the use of CGr15SiMn on passenger car bearings. It is also limited to thick-walled rolling mills and mining machinery under large compact loads.
